Classroom Grant Information for Auburn Educators

2024 Awards

This year, the APSF is thrilled to announce $86,000 in funding, awarded to 93 Auburn School District classrooms!  Watch for photos and short descriptions to show up in our Grant Reports this Spring.  We are excited and encouraged by wide-ranging Teacher participation. In support of the Auburn School District strategic plan, this year we prioritized requests that aligned with the 7 culturally responsive practices:

  1. Students are affirmed for cultural connections

  2. Teachers are personally inviting

  3. Learning environments are physically & culturally inviting

  4. Students are reinforced for academic development

  5. Instructional changes are made to accommodate differences in learners

  6. Classroom is managed with firm, consistent, caring guidance

  7. Interactions stress collectivity as well as individuality

Pantry Project

Teachers, please check with your counselor or health tech if you need to access these funds for a student in need.

Funding up to $500 available on an as needed basis. This funding allows Principals, health techs, and nurses to purchase food, clothing, and hygiene items for students in need. The APSF provides one grant per school at a time as long as funding is available.

We also work with community members, local businesses, and discount buying programs to help leverage every dollar of spending. If you are interested in helping with our basic needs program or need more information about specific pantry project requests, please email Linda Ball at rlball1980@gmail.com
